Last updated 7 September 2026

This notice describes how AmlaWallets (the Bitcoin wallet at amlawallets.com) handles personal data. AmlaWallets is not the EU Anti-Money Laundering Authority. This page replaces the 2021 template text that previously lived at /privacy-policy/page/42.

Who we are

The service is operated under the brand AmlaWallets. Questions about this notice or your account go through the contact form or a support ticket. If the operator publishes a registered company name, jurisdiction, and address, those facts will be added here. We will not invent them.

Data we collect

When you register we store the details you submit: first name, last name, username, email, mobile number, country, and a hashed password. We also store wallet records and addresses created in your account, send and receive history, support tickets, optional Google Authenticator settings, login logs (including IP and user agent), and cookie consent.

How we use it

We use this data to run the wallet (create addresses, process sends, show history), to verify you, to send account mail such as password resets, to handle tickets, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell your account data.

Sharing

Infrastructure providers (hosting, email delivery, Bitcoin network monitoring used to detect deposits) may process data as needed to run the product. We may disclose information if required by law. Support staff can see tickets and account status to help you.

Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a cookie-consent flag after you accept the banner. The language switcher stores a preference in the session. Chat widgets, if enabled, are provided by a third party and follow that provider’s notice.

Retention

Account, wallet, and transaction records are kept while the account exists and as long as needed for security, accounting, and legal duties after closure.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Sends can require Google Authenticator. Production traffic should use HTTPS. No method is perfect; protect your password and 2FA device.

Your choices

You can update profile fields in the dashboard and contact us to ask for a copy, correction, or deletion of account data, subject to legal retention. Do not send Bitcoin to an address after you have asked us to close the account.

Children

The service is not directed at children. Do not register if you are not old enough to use a financial account in your country.

Changes

We will update this page when the notice changes. The date at the top is the latest revision.
